Student Success Center
The Counseling Department, located in the Student Success Center in the Lockwood House, supports student success in academic and personal growth by facilitating the development of academic skills, self-awareness, self-advocacy, and decision-making skills. Counselors guide students to identify strengths through a variety of assessments and reflections, including standardized tests and inventories, and explore options for planning postsecondary education. Additionally, students with diagnosed learning disabilities or health impairments meet with the learning specialist individually or in small groups.
ACADEMIC and wellness COUNSELING
Academic/Wellness Counselors work with parents and students to address short term academic concerns and to support interventions for mental or physical health concerns. Students are assigned a counselor based on an alpha split. Freshman students and families will have the support of these counselors through their senior year.
COLLEGE COUNSELING
Students and their parents work with College Counselors from freshman through senior year. The four-year plan identifies meetings, milestones, and steps. College counselors are assigned based on an alpha split.
