Senior Service Project
Class of 2027
Make your mark with Senior Service!
Class of 2027 students need to declare their Senior Service Site by May 1, 2026.
Senior Service requirements are as follows:
- 30 hours
- All hours must be with one organization/agency.
- Working directly (face to face) with people in need or people in traditionally marginalized populations.
- Ecology projects (service to the Earth) will be considered but need approval from Mrs. Giunta. If approved, all 30 hours of an ecology project must be complete by December 1.
- Students should log hours under the "Senior Service" category in MobileServe.
- Upon completion of the requirement, students must fill out this Senior Service Reflection Form.
- Senior hours are due March 31, 2027
Juniors have attended the Volunteer Fair, made an on-site visit to an agency of interest in the St. Louis area through Junior Service Immersion Day, reviewed a list of service opportunities on the Nerinx website, and have had the opportunity to speak with Mrs. Giunta regarding potential Senior Service sites. The should be intentional about considering their interests, potential career path, call to serve, how far they are willing to travel to serve, other life commitments, and special talents as they choose their site.
Students need to complete this Google form to declare their Senior service agency and complete any initial application for their agency (if required) by May 1, 2026. They must contact their desired agency to ensure that 30 hours of service are available, and that those hours can be served in direct (face to face) capacity.
Juniors may begin accruing senior service hours on April 1, 2026. Completing these hours during the summer months is highly encouraged for all students, as this allows more time for college applications, academics, extracurriculars, and outside commitments during the students' Senior year.
