The Loretto Motherhouse (E7)  Mrs, Guinta Rhyan Ward, Rory McNelly and Eva Fox

  • Learn about the Sisters of Loretto by hearing from the students who have been there. Learn about the  Loretto Motherhouse grounds, farm, and hear an explanation of the Motherhouse service trip.  

Markers in Prayer (E8) Isabelle Koenen and Ms. Mentel

  • Join Markers in prayer for some prayer and reflection around living Loretto in our daily lives. 

The Story of Loretto (Media Studio AKA E11) Sarah Hoeynck

  • Learn about Loretto's past and the work of its founders, which is the focus of Ms. Hoeynck's novel, A Sisterhood on Fire (being published July 2023). You'll hear about the early Sisters' involvement with slavery, their teaching of frontier girls, and their battles with the patriarchy. 

Intro to Yoga & Meditation with Yoga Club (EAC) Molly Turpin and Mrs. Sarah Sidney 

  • Introduction to yoga and meditation; short community yoga session; conclude with a student led meditation focused on connection with God, and meditating on each of the pillars.

A Vision for Loretto (Library) Mrs. Mulhall and Mrs. Eschmann 

  • Create a vision board for our school based on the Loretto Values: faith, community, justice and respect as well as the themes of  our talk from Willow Sweeney

Dance it out!  (Heagney Theatre stage)-- Sophie Harrison, Loeva Bonino, Mrs. Teeter

  • Come learn "CRUISIN FOR A BRUISIN" from Disney's Teen Beach movie. (And if you already know it, come practice.)  It's easy, 50's fun, and rumor has it we get to perform it outside later that day as the first ever Field Day Flash Mob! 

Writing Prompts & Word Games With Writers Club (T2) Norah Brozio, Nora O'Connor, Alexandria Morley  

  • Join Writers Club House to get creative and practice writing for fun with prompts and games!

Chalk the Walk with Jody (back entrance by the cave) Jody Patterson  

  • Spread joy and positivity on campus with colorful chalk messages and art. 

Get Creative and Reflect On Loretto with Art Club  (art room)  Emma Tippen, Holly & Susan 

  • Make your mark on an interactive mural piece with a pre-drawn design of living Loretto that features environmental justice, and service. Students will be able to fill out sections of the board with some sort of marker, oil pastel, or paint.

Create Worry Stones with Clay Club (ceramics studio) Clay Club members

  • Join Clay club and get your hands in some clay to create your own piece of art.  Each piece will be fired and available to glaze at a later date.

Photography Club (Independent art studio behind the EAC) Photography Club Members

  • Come play around with cool cameras old and new, develop film photos in the darkroom, and watch as you become the camera with a camera obscura (no really, we turned the entire dance studio into a functioning camera).

Privilege Walk with Diversity Club (Courtyard)Mrs. Dubose, Michaela Cooper, Diversity Club members

  • Participate in an activity that will: raise awareness of various forms of privilege; understand the intersectionality of race, socioeconomic class, gender and other demographic variables that shape individuals; and appreciate the diversity of individual backgrounds

Sowing Seeds at Nerinx (Garden on West Driveway)  Ms. Beebe & Garden Club

  • Get your hands dirty by planting some spring and summer crops in the Nerinx Hall garden.  Experienced and novice gardeners welcome!

Seed Planting with Planet Patrol and  Outdoor Adventures Clubs (N2 Bio Lab) Delaney Carey, Caroline Uhlenbrock, Molly Heller, Claire McBride

  • Join us in planting herb seeds, learning how to cook with them, and starting your summer garden!

Life on a Reservation (E9)  Montana Travelers Allie Morris and Maris Stinnett 

  • Join previous travelers from the Montana service trip who will share their personal experience with photos and stories, as well as an interactive discussion about life on reservations!

Spanish Club Movie (E6) Olivia Samaniego and Mariah Slaughter 

  • Join Spanish Club to learn what it’s like to be Hispanic in America. 

American Sign Language Club  (N4-Chem Lab) Molly MacDonald, Sophie Lawler, Sam Riney

  • Practice on how to effectively communicate in ASL and improve your ability to connect with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. 

Make Your Own Album Cover with Music Club (T3) Taylor Elgin, Gretchen Jost, Josie Gossow 

  • Make your Own Album Cover using cardstock, decorative paper, stickers, etc.  Students will get in touch with themselves and their musical preferences to create their own album cover that relates to them and their life. When they finish they will share with the rest of the group.
