Things to do over break:

Check your emails and/or portal for important information from your prospective college(s).

Look for/complete any next steps such as financial information and/or housing

Gather your scholarships! Take a pic or forward them to Ms. McCoy; must include the college name, scholarship name and dollar amount
Housing: Once admitted, the next step is to consider housing. Most schools will ask students to submit a housing deposit to ‘hold’ a spot at that school.It is acceptable to commit to housing at more than one school, since your final decision on where to attend isn’t required until May 1st. But always pay attention to any and all deadlines and most importantly, refund information.
Christmas Break – Transcripts: The College Counseling office will be closed during Christmas break beginning on 12/22/22. We will reopen on 1/5/23. Seniors, if you are working on college applications with deadlines that fall during the break or close to that time, please speak with your College Counselor NOW so that we can get documents submitted.
Mid-Year – Reports/Transcripts: Seniors that applied via the Common App may need mid-year transcripts sent to some of their schools. We will automatically submit these reports via the Common App once transcripts are available. Transcripts are typically updated with seventh semester grades by mid-January.
*If, for any reason, you want us to send your transcripts to other (non-Common App) schools on your behalf (i.e., improvement in grades in the first semester), you need to let us know. Please reach out to us via email.
