Nerinx represents at Catholic Girls Schools Unite for Justice conference

Last Thursday and Friday, Director of Equity and Inclusion Mary Dubose '07, along with students Michaela Cooper, Synmar Johnson, and Olivia Samaniego attended the Catholic Girls Schools Unite for Justice Conference held at St. Joseph's Academy in conjunction with area-wide all-girls Catholic high schools.

Participants spent Thursday engaging in programming with a focus on Ignatian Family Teaching for Justice resources, followed by time for group discussion and reflection. On Friday, they participated in a prayer service at St. Matthew the Apostle, a tour of the Historic Ville Neighborhood, and service work at Annie Malone Children and Family Services.

"Being a part of the Nerinx community is extremely powerful. Taking that community and connecting to an equally impressive network of girls catholic schools was an experience that both the students and I benefited from greatly," said Ms. Dubose. "Each school has so much good to bring to the table. I hope this event is the catalyst for many more partnerships between these schools."
