Scholarships and Awards

Nerinx Hall is proud to offer Merit Scholarships to incoming freshmen who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and strong potential for success in our rigorous, college-preparatory environment. These scholarships are awarded to top applicants based on a review of the applicant’s academic record and standardized test scores. The selection process is highly competitive and reserved for the most academically distinguished applicants.

All 8th grade applicants are automatically considered—no separate application is required. Families will be notified of merit scholarship awards at the time of admission.
 

• Who’s Eligible: All 8th grade applicants in the Fall of 2025 are automatically considered in the admissions process.

• What’s Reviewed: The applicant's admission file which includes her academic transcript, standardized test scores (if applicable), faculty input from the applicant's family interview, and application forms including the Activities and Awards Form and Personal Reflection submission.

• Merit Scholars Earn: Scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $6,000 (renewable for all four years) and gain admission into the House of Studies, Nerinx Hall’s Honors Program.

As a Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Loretto in 1924, Nerinx Hall continues to embrace the Loretto belief that diversity enriches. To encourage and support diversity in our student body, the Nerinx Hall Board of Directors created the Diversity Award. The Diversity Award is a monetary award that is renewable for four years.

Eligible candidates for this award must:

• Be an 8th grade student of color who demonstrates academic excellence, leadership in their school or community, and commitment to service
• Submit an application for admission in addition to this application for the Diversity Award
• Apply for Financial Aid through FACTS 

Applications for the Diversity Award open on Wednesday, October 1 and all materials must be received by Monday, December 1.

Nerinx Hall is committed to making a transformative, all-girls Catholic education accessible for families across the St. Louis area. Need-based financial aid is available to incoming and returning students through the FACTS platform, which evaluates family income, assets, liabilities, and other financial factors. 

Applying takes about 30-45 minutes to complete in FACTS. All recipients must complete a new financial aid application for each school year. You will need to provide the following for both parents, if applicable, to submit the application form:

• 2023 Federal Tax return

• 2024 W-2 as soon as available 

Regardless of the marital status of an applicant’s parents, both of the child’s biological parents must complete an application. In a case where the custodial parent has remarried, the financial situation of the stepparent will also be taken into account.
