Nerinx Hall is seeking to fill the following teaching positions for the 26-27 school year:


Social Media Manager - Full Time
(Beginning July, 2026)

Position Summary
Nerinx Hall is seeking a creative, organized, and mission-driven Social Media Manager to lead the school’s social media presence across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for developing and executing engaging content that reflects the spirit of Nerinx Hall, highlights student life, and strengthens connections with key audiences including prospective families, current families, alumnae, and the broader community.

This is a highly collaborative role that works across departments to ensure consistent, compelling storytelling aligned with the school’s mission and brand. The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Communications.

Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content that reflects daily life at Nerinx Hall, including events, academics, arts, athletics, and student experiences
  • Create short-form video content for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok)
  • Develop and maintain a consistent, mission-aligned voice and visual identity across platforms
  • Organize and maintain a digital library of photo and video assets

Social Media Management

  • Manage and maintain Nerinx Hall’s official social media presence across major platforms
  • Plan and execute a strategic content calendar that balances a high volume of content across multiple audiences and priorities
  • Monitor engagement, respond as appropriate, and ensure a positive and consistent brand presence
  • Track performance and provide regular analytics reports with insights and recommendations

Student Content Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and oversee a team of student content creators who contribute to social media coverage
  • Provide guidance, structure, and creative direction to ensure content aligns with Nerinx Hall’s brand and communication goals
  • Coordinate student coverage of events and school activities

Club Account Oversight

  • Provide oversight and guidance for student-run club and organization social media accounts
  • Maintain clear expectations and policies for student use of social media
  • Serve as a resource for students managing accounts and ensure alignment with institutional standards

Collaboration & Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with departments across the school - including Admissions, Advancement, Athletics, and Campus Ministry - to support events, initiatives, and storytelling needs
  • Assist in promoting key school initiatives and campaigns through coordinated social media efforts

Website & Digital Content Support

  • Contribute content to the Nerinx Hall website, including student highlights and alumnae features
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of a weekly internal email newsletter

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (including internships or college experience)
  • Strong photography and videography skills, with the ability to capture and edit engaging content
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Basic experience with video editing and content creation tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media analytics and performance tracking
  • Familiarity with paid social media advertising
  • Experience working with students or youth in a leadership or mentorship capacity

COLLEGE COUNSELOR (Full-Time)
Key Responsibilities:
College Counseling & Guidance

  • Design and oversee a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate college and career counseling program for students in grades 9–12.
  • Provide personalized guidance on career exploration, college selection, application strategies, scholarships, financial aid, and self-advocacy.
  • Meet individually with students and families throughout the year, with a focus on junior-year planning.
  • Advise students in creating balanced college lists (likely, level, reach) and interpreting admissions trends.
  • Draft thoughtful and tailored letters of recommendation for students.
  • Coordinate ACT/SAT ordering, administration, and related logistics.
  • Manage 1818, ACP, and AP program coordination.

Program Development & Events

  • Plan and lead large-group presentations, workshops, and informational sessions for students and parents (e.g., college planning nights, college/career fairs, career workshops).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with college admissions representatives.
  • Assist with scholarship searches, nomination processes (e.g., National Merit, summer programs), and other post-secondary opportunities.
  • Teach a high school transition course called Nerinx 101

Collaborative Work

  • Work closely with departments on exams, study days, testing days, and academic lab support.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, college admissions conferences, and meetings to remain current on trends in higher education.

Tools & Data Management

  • Utilize college counseling platforms (SCOIR) to monitor student progress, manage applications, and share information efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage communications with students, families, and external institutions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in college admissions, college counseling, or high school counseling preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to listen thoughtfully and respond effectively.

FACILITIES TECHNICIAN
Position Type: Full-Time, 12-Month, Non-exempt

Position Summary

The Facilities Technician reports to the Director of Facilities and supports the department’s mission to deliver a campus that is clean, functional, appealing and prepared to serve our students, faculty, families and alumnae during school and at a variety of events. The technician supports the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of campus buildings, grounds, and building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all campus spaces are clean, safe and highly functional
  • Responds promptly to work orders and service requests
  • Set up and take down spaces for school events and assemblies
  • Performs light electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hardware, and landscaping work
  • Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC, grounds, and light machinery
  • Communicates problem areas to Facilities Director
  • Monitors stock of supplies and communicates needs to Facilities Director
  • Documents records of maintenance

Background and Requirements

  • At least 1-3 years in general maintenance, construction, or facilities maintenance
  • HVAC experience preferred
  • Ability to use a computer and email
  • Timeliness
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, move tables and chairs, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in various environments including in the cold, the heat, on ladders, and in tunnels
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Hours and Compensation
Hours for the position are 6am-2:30pm with a 30-minute lunch. Occasional night and weekend work is required. Pay ranges from $24-$29/hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid vacation, sick days, retirement and insurance.
