STRATEGIC PLANNING PURPOSE
Founded in 1924 by the Sisters of Loretto, Nerinx Hall is an independent, Catholic, college-preparatory high school for young women committed to academic excellence, faith, social justice, and community. Guided by our Loretto values of faith, community, justice, and respect, Nerinx has empowered generations of young women to grow in knowledge of themselves and their world while cultivating the courage and compassion to serve others. Today, with an enrollment of more than 600 students on a state-of-the-art campus in Webster Groves, Nerinx Hall continues to live out this transformative mission.
During the 2024–2025 school year, under the leadership of President John Gabriel and the Board of Trustees, Nerinx Hall launched a strategic planning process designed to chart our course for the next five years. This process engaged hundreds of voices across the Nerinx community - students, families, alumnae, faculty, staff, and friends - through surveys, focus groups, and retreats. More than 1,300 surveys and over 2,000 open-ended responses were analyzed, with 87 stakeholders participating in two major retreats, contributing over 600 hours of collaborative work.
The result is Uniquely Nerinx: Empowering the Journey Ahead (2025 - 2030) - a bold and forward-looking plan that honors our century-long legacy while preparing our students and community for the opportunities and challenges of the future. Built on five strategic priorities and detailed pathways, this plan provides a roadmap for strengthening Nerinx Hall’s identity, empowering students, and engaging our community in ways that ensure our mission thrives for generations to come.
STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT
Building on community-wide insights, the Strategic Plan Committee organized what we heard into five strategic priorities that name the long-term areas of focus most essential to advancing Nerinx Hall’s mission. In this strategic plan, a priority is a high-level, mission-anchored goal that sets direction for the next five years. Each priority is then operationalized through pathways - specific, measurable areas of work that translate broad goals into clear action, guide day-to-day decisions and long-range planning, and keep our efforts focused and aligned. Together, the priorities and their pathways form a framework that will anchor implementation, resourcing, and progress reporting through 2030.
