Financial Assistance

As an investment in our students and in an effort to support families from diverse economic backgrounds, Nerinx Hall offers financial assistance in the forms of Merit Scholarships and Need-Based Aid.

Need-Based Aid

During the 2016-2017 school year, 25% of Nerinx students received Need-Based Aid. Although Need-Based Aid varies, an average award is $3,917 for families with demonstrated need. 

Need-Based Aid Timeline

  • Online FACTS Application Opens:  November 1, 2016
  • Online FACTS Application Deadline for Incoming Freshmen (Class of 2021):  February 10, 2017
  • Class of 2021 Need-Based Aid Decision Letters Mailed:  February 17, 2017
  • Online FACTS Application Deadline for Returning Families:  February 27, 2017
  • Verification of 2016 Tax Return Financials:  May 15, 2017

Applying for Need-Based Aid

Nerinx Hall partners with FACTS Grant & Aid (an independent, third party company) to conduct financial analysis and determine a family’s financial need. Based on the information families provide in their FACTS application and supporting tax documents, Nerinx makes informed decisions about Need-Based Aid. Applicants using FACTS are subject to a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $30 per family payable to FACTS during the application process. The same application can be applied to multiple institutions provided those institutions use the FACTS Grant & Aid assessment services.

Beginning November 1, 2016, families may apply for Nerinx Hall Need-Based Aid via FACTS at www.factstuitionaid.com.

Nerinx Hall Need-Based Aid funds are limited. Decisions are contingent upon verification of 2016 tax return financials by May 15, 2017.

Class of 2021 (Current 8th Grade Families)
Class of 2021 (current 8th grade families) applications for Need-Based Aid completed November 1, 2016-February 10, 2017 will be considered in the order they are received. Class of 2021 applications for Need-Based Aid will not be considered after February 10, 2017.  Class of 2021 (current 8th grade families) must complete the FACTS process by February 10, 2017 to qualify for Need-Based Aid.

Financial assistance has no bearing on admission decisions.

Returning Families
Returning family applications for Need-Based aid should be completed November 1, 2016-February 27, 2017.  Returning family applications for Need-Based Aid will not be considered after February 27, 2017.

Information Needed
Depending on your application, some or all of the following documents may be required: copies of your most recent Federal Form 1040, 1040A or 1040-EZ Income Tax Returns, copies of all W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, supporting documentation for household Non-Taxable Income, etc.

Please Note: If applying before you have received all the 2016 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, please submit them to FACTS as soon as they become available.

Student Worker Program

Students eligible for Need-Based Aid may be invited to participate in the Student Worker Program as space allows. The Student Worker Program allows Nerinx Hall students to work on the school’s campus and earn a tuition credit of $1,000. The program schedules students to work after school for 40 minutes each school day at 3:15 or for 15 minutes each school day during their lunch period. Students invited to participate in the Student Worker Program will be notified via Financial Assistance Letters mailed February 17, 2017.

  

Failure to provide all of the information necessary to complete the FACTS application or failure to verify
your FACTS application with your 2016 tax forms may result in your family not receiving Need-Based Aid at Nerinx Hall.
